Construction of the Turnpike 16W ramps into the Sports Complex and connection to new internal roadways is scheduled to begin at 6 AM on Monday, February 8th and is scheduled to be completed on or near Wednesday, March 3rd.

As part of this construction work, the entry and exit lanes from/to the 16W Interchange entering/exiting directly to the Sports Complex must be temporarily closed.

All traffic exiting from the 16W Interchange will be directed to proceed on the South Service Road to either Route 3 East, Route 3 West or 120 North. Sports Complex traffic will access the sire via the Route 3 West or Route 120 North detours. Traffic exiting to the Turnpike will be detoured through J Plaza to Sheraton Plaza Drive. The contractor will be installing Detour signs throughout the Complex and on the Turnpike ramps directing same. 

The Meadowlands Sports Complex is in the midst of the largest renovation the area has seen in years. And while the construction may present challenges for now, the end results will be well worth it!

Meadowlands Xanadu, the ultimate sports, leisure and family entertainment complex in the United States continues to takes shape around IZOD Center. Work on the new home of the Giants and Jets has begun around the existing Stadium.

As a result of these continuing improvements, traffic patterns and access to certain parking lots will be affected. Please allow extra time for travel and parking. All events will start at their scheduled time.
